STCN trial lawyer Cynthia Newton has spoken recently to three local groups on the rules of the road governing cyclists, motorists and pedestrians, continuing her efforts to spread the word on the rights and responsibilities of cyclists, pedestrians and drivers. On June 18, she presented her program entitled “The PDX Bicyclist’s Commute” at an educational training session of the SW Washington Chapter of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO). On July 14, she presented “Rules of the Road When Out and About Town” to a group of women cyclists before an organized ride sponsored by Ride Like a Girl. Finally, on July 17, she spoke at PGE’s brown bag lunch series, presenting “The PDX Cyclist’s Commute: What Every Cyclist–Novice and Veteran Should Know.” If you have a group at which you would like Cynthia to speak on these issues, contact her at cnewton@stc-law.com.
