In the past few years, the Portland Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) has had numerous Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) depart for retirement, or work in other jurisdictions. We are very excited to see that three new ALJs were hired in this office. Welcome to judges Linda Thomasson, S. Pines, and Richard Geib.
Once these judges have issued at substantial number of decisions, I will prepare an update to my recent post regarding the varying favorability ratings of the ALJs in the Portland hearing office.
We are hopeful that having three new ALJs in the office will decrease the 16 month hearing wait time that most individuals are currently experiencing.
