Portland law firm Swanson, Thomas, Coon and Newton commissioned this Scales of Justice bike rack installed outside its downtown office. The rack signifies the firm’s commitment to fighting for justice for its clients and captures the firm’s passion for cycling as not only recreation but sustainable transportation for everyone. With capacity for four bikes, it serves as functional city street art.
Metal artisan Merrill Denney collaborated with the firm on the project, taking its idea of the scales of justice and designing and manufacturing the rack, believed to be the only one of its kind.
