Why should I see my doctor if there’s nothing more they can do for me?

Cheryl CoonWe get calls every day asking us this question.

The decision on your case will depend on what your doctors have diagnosed, how your symptoms affect your everyday life, and whether, with those symptoms, you could still work.

Even if there doesn’t appear to be any new treatment, you see your doctor to make sure that your symptoms are noted in your record, to ensure that you’re taking advantage of everything that can be done, and to demonstrate your commitment to getting better.  A case in which a person hasn’t seen a doctor recently is not a winning case.
